Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his roles in popular television show 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. At the age of 18, he began to take an interest in acting. While at the University of Colorado at Boulder where he was studying acting. While he's appeared on both television and films it is his characters in the smaller screen which earned him a cult fans. There is no doubt that his characters have been able to capture people's attention with his characters who are on either one side of the legal system. He played the character of the serial killer on his debut television show as well as later portrayed of an NYPD detective. His small-screen performances have been recognized with multiple Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. He is famous by his blue piercing eyes, which have turned into the trademark of his character and has helped him create a charismatic character for tough roles. In 2006, he was featured on People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
